The Merchants Keep Coming

Your Charity Store is pleased to announce that last week over $1,000 worth of purchases were made through our site. That is a lot of purchasing. Thank you so much to all of you who have been shopping and spreading the word about YCS. We are still working hard on getting our new site up and going, and we are also in the works of getting an event to help raise money for those affected by the earthquakes in Haiti. We will keep everyone posted on dates and details. Thanks again to everyone who is supporting YCS, and please continue to tell everyone you know what we are doing. Together we can start to make a BIG difference!!!
On January 12, 2010, a series of earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 6.5 to 7.3 devastated Haiti. For the months of January and February, Your Charity Store is dedicated to donating our proceeds to the American Red Cross to assist those affected by this terrible disaster. We have also made a link available to donate directly to the American Red Cross for those of you who would like to be able to give more. Your Charity Store wants to be able to make a difference for the thousands of lives that were damaged, so we encourage all of you to make a purchase through our site. Even the smallest purchase adds up. For example, each pair of TOMS shoes that is purchased will donate close to $5 to the American Red Cross. If only 20 people purchase one pair, we will be able to donate $100 to help support the Haiti earthquake victims. And that is only with TOMS shoes. Help us make a difference by making ANY purchase and spreading the word to all of your family and friends.

First of all, Your Charity Store would like to thank everyone for helping us get off to such a promising start. Over the last month we were able to raise over $50 dollars to give to our charity of the month, the Christmas Spirit Foundation. To put this into perspective, this means that over $1,000 worth of items were purchased through Your Charity Store! As a sign of our appreciation, we have decided not only to donate the proceeds in full, but we are going to match the total from our own pockets, and award the Christmas Spirit Foundation a total of $100. Again, we cannot thank you all enough for the difference you are ALL making. We also want to send a special thank you out to all of you who have provided us with your feedback and thoughts about what we can do to make the site better. We are still working with an outside company to make Your Charity Store as powerful as possible. Big News About Our Future

Your Charity Store is very happy to announce that our site is undergoing some huge changes. There is no need to panic, as everything we are doing is to better serve you. We have teamed up with a website development company called Foster Ideaz, Inc. to begin building the type of site that we originally envisioned. The new site will include a lot of beneficial features such as a real time tracking of all money donated by users as well as individual user’s donation totals, the ability to pick the particular cause you want to donate to, social networking and interaction, and plenty more. We have really been hard at work thinking of ways to make our vision a reality, and we are so excited to be working on it with professionals to make it the best that it can be. We are anticipating a two month building period for the new site, but you can still make a difference before then by visiting our current site and shopping.
